Head Coach Greg Colwell

   This is Coach Colwell's 13th year with the Aliso Niguel Wrestling Team (10 as head coach).  Coach Colwell has coached Cross Country, Track, Wrestling, and Football for a number of years.  He is the freshman football Linebacker Coach.  As an athlete, Coach Colwell lettered in Wrestling, Cross Country, and Track and Field at Dana Hills High School, famous for its state championship cross country teams.  He looks forward to seeing the Wrestling team gain even further success and continue to grow and looks forward to many League and CIF championships in the young teams future.  Coach Colwell was named SeaView League coach of the year in 2015 following Aliso Niguel winning it's first league championship.  He was also named the South Coast League coach of the year in 2018.  Coach Colwell lives in Mission Viejo with his wife and two daughters.

Boys Varsity Assistant Coach Mehdi Kaveh

    Coach Kaveh comes to us courtesy of Brown University, where he was an assistant coach for 9 years, following a successful world-class wrestling career.

Girls Varsity Coach Rich Trevino

     Coach Trevino has been on staff at Aliso for 8 years now, serving first as a Varsity boys Assistant coach then taking over the newly formed girls program 4 years ago.  Following a successful wrestling career at Valley high school and Santa Ana junior college, Coach Trevino has coached a several high schools in Orange County, including Mater Dei high school and Santa Margarita and has coached many state qualifiers over that time.  His girl's team has had an enormous amount of success with state qualifiers every year and winning league every year for past 5 years.
