Dear Wrestling Fan,

The Aliso Niguel Wolverine Wrestling Program is preparing for another successful season! We are asking you for your support in helping us reach our fundraising goals for the year.

Last year the Aliso wrestling program competed in several challenging tournaments, as well as the super-competitive South Coast League (5 teams in which 4 were ranked in the top 10 in the county).  Our team finished in the top 5 at several very difficult tournaments. The Varsity Team sent 9 wrestlers to compete at CIF this past season.  This year as we look forward to competing in the tough Sea View League (where we are the favorites to win our first League title)!  The Frosh/Soph Team and JV teams finished in 3rd place last year and look forward to moving up to this season.  Aliso Wrestling continues to make strides forward toward becoming a powerhouse program in Orange County, with over 70 wrestlers competing and a very dedicated coaching staff.

Our success is made possible through a winning combination of outstanding athletic performance and the tremendous support of parents, families, and businesses throughout the community. We are asking that you donate to the Aliso Niguel High School Wrestling Program. Your contribution provides the necessary support for our athletes to continue to compete for championships while receiving a quality education. Donating to the program will allow us to purchase equipment, maintain and improve our facilities, and provide essential items for our program’s survival. Because of budget cuts in the State of California, public school athletic programs rely almost 100% on fundraising. This year our teams need to raise $35,000 just to maintain facilities, pay tournament entry fees, fund transportation, and subsidize our coaching stipends. Without your invaluable support, our program would lose its competitive edge and its ability to compete with other schools.

Generous people providing thoughtful gifts have built the Aliso Niguel Wrestling Program.  With the new funding rules in place, we will be relying on donations more than ever to fund the program. We receive less than $7000 from the school district for the program (2 paid coaching stipends)- all other funds are based on fundraising.  We hope that you are in a position to support the program and these dedicated athletes as they work towards another successful season.
